Mid-week Meeting
On Wednesday nights at 7:30pm we get together in the downstairs room at the back of the church for our mid-week meeting. This meeting usually involves the singing of hymns, a Bible message, and a time of open prayer together.
At PBC we believe the Bible is inspired and God-breathed. The importance of studying his Word cannot be overstated. The first part of this meeting is given over to an exposition from the Bible usually given by our Pastor.
Following this the rest of the time is given over to corporate prayer. Prayer is vital in the life and ministry of our church. There is a video below which looks at some of the great themes we can use in our prayers as shown in the prayer that the Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples. We spend time thanking and praising God for His grace and mercy. We also pray over the needs of the fellowship, our ministry, other Gospel churches and their needs, concerns for our own nation, and God’s people around the world, including the suffering church.
This meeting has been a great blessing in the life of the church and we would encourage you to come and join us.
Hudson Taylor – ‘The prayer power has never been tried to its full capacity. If we want to see mighty wonders of divine power and grace wrought in the place of weakness, failure and disappointment, let us answer God’s standing challenge, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not!’’
