The Lord’s Table
We meet to participate in the Lord’s Table as a fellowship twice a month. On the first and third Sunday of the month at 10am. The requirements for participation are as follows:
‘The Lord’s Table will be open to all who have been baptised as true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and who are members in good standing in a local church. Visitors who fulfil the requirements are welcome to attend and should make themselves known to the elders.’
Like baptism, the Lord’s Table is an ordinance given to the church, and to be administered in the local church. It is the regular family meal where there is the remembrance of the sufferings and death of the Saviour. It is an expression of the unity of the church as one body in Christ, a new covenant people, and strengthens the individual and the corporate body of the local church. The Lord’s Table is therefore an ordinance for true believers who are baptised members of a local church.
